Troy Atlas Named Chair of 2022-23 Tampa Bay Bowl

Tampa, FL -- The Tampa Bay Bowl Association has announced that R. Troy Atlas has been elected to the post of Chair of the Board of Directors of the popular New Year's Day college bowl game located in Tampa. Atlas is "Storm Shielder in Chief" of Home Safety Solutions, a 35-year-old company that provides and installs hurricane protection products for homes and businesses all around Tampa Bay. He was previously Vice Chair and has been a long-time volunteer and a member of the Board of Directors since 2012.

"It's an honor and a privilege to assume leadership of the Board of such a terrific institution," stated Atlas. "Not only has the Bowl fielded many exciting football games during its 36-year history, but we've hosted countless visitors to our attractions and beaches over the years, as well. It's also heartwarming to be able to be a part of the Charitable Giving Initiative where we donate $500,000 back to deserving organizations in the community each year. The Tampa Bay Bowl is truly a Tampa Bay Treasure!"

Additional officers of the board for the 2022-23 bowl include: Chris Roederer, Tampa General Hospital Foundation, as Vice Chair; Todd Timmerman, Partner, Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP, as Vice Chair of Pinellas County; Glenn Fasani, Ameriprise Financial, as Vice Chair Hillsborough County; Greg Orchard, former CFO of Visit Tampa Bay, as Treasurer; and Tim Love, CEO, Alltrust Insurance, as Secretary.


New additions to the Board of Directors include Jerry Bell, former Tampa Bay Buc and President of Bell & Associates; Cathy Bellatin, Caf' Dufrain; Roy Hellwege, President Central Florida Region if Pilot - A Part of LMCU; and Mindi Richter, Partner, Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP.
