ReliaQuest Bowl Honored for Corporate Philanthropy
Tampa, FL - The Tampa Bay Bowl Association and ReliaQuest Bowl has been named as a 2024 One Tampa Bay Honoree for Corporate Philanthropy by the Tampa Bay Business Journal. It is the third year that the bowl has received the award which recognizes businesses and nonprofit organizations that go above and beyond giving back to the Tampa Bay community.
The ReliaQuest Bowl Charitable Giving Initiative donates at least $500,000 each year to area nonprofits contributing over $4 million to almost 200 area charities since 2016.
The Bowl typically attracts tens of thousands of out-of-market visitors each year from more than forty states who join local fans in generating an economic impact that has been estimated at more than $1.2 billion for the community over its history. The game also generates tens of millions of dollars in exposure for the region each year and has contributed $176 million to universities since it began.
"The Bowl is an economic engine for the region and contributes millions to universities each year, but it is so much more and through our Charitable Giving Initiative we are able to do even more to help improve the day-to-day lives of local residents," explains Bowl President & CEO Jim McVay.
This years' ReliaQuest Bowl Game will match teams from the SEC vs the Big Ten Conference and is scheduled to be played on Tuesday, December 31st, 2024, at Raymond James Stadium. The game will kick off at 12:00 PM ET and be telecast internationally on ESPN TV.
